Welcome to Monopoly Town, circa 1925 – a place that is populated by simple folks leading simple lives on a minimal set. That is, until headstrong Lizzie Ship arrives with a dream of designing a board game. Soon the entire town’s ambitions awaken, leading to a real estate frenzy. As alliances shift, the parcels of land at the edge of town change hands…but at the end of the day, does anybody really win? Well, it sort of depends on who owns the Boardwalk. Though it begins as a parody, blending the classic play Our Town with a board game that rewards the ruthless, Our Monopoly Town transforms from romantic farce to historical satire to an existential ensemble comedy like you’ve never seen before.
